Reija Lang Trio "Soundoscope" record release on April 7, 2010

Hub Productions is proud to present the new album of Reija Lang Trio.
Reija Lang Trio is building on the alluring acoustic sound - combining influences from the Afro-American jazz legacy and the European chamber jazz wave. The delicate and rarely heard sound is created with an interesting instrumentation - vocals, guitar, double bass and violin.

The band members represent the ultimate Finnish musicianship in a very high artistic level combining roots from both jazz and classical music: Reija Lang, vocals * Petri Krzywacki, guitar * Mikko-Ville Luolajan-Mikkola, double bass and violin. More information and some music samples from the band can be found on www.myspace.com/reijalangtrio

The album introduces emotionally embracing and fine-sounding interpretations e.g. some Monk, Mingus, Gillespie an Evans tunes. The repertoire also introduces some tunes written by Luolajan-Mikkola with Lang´s lyrics. The trio also proudly presents a tune "Pink Cloud On The Sky" written by the legendary double bass player Ron McClure - now the first time as a lyric and vocal version with Lang´s lyrics.

The official release date in Finland will be April 7, 2010. The Finnish distributor is Töölön Musiikkitukku. The CD will be available in selective stores who are still keeping up the wide variety of jazz music on their shelves - in Helsinki we cooperate with Digelius, Eronen, Levykauppa Äx.
